Darim Online produced projects: During the pandemic we sought opportunities to design in new ways and create online platforms to achieve shared goals:

The Great Big Jewish Food Fest was a 10 day online festival at the beginning of the pandemic that brought together 25,000 people worldwide to learn, cook, connect and celebrate Jewish food. The groundbreaking virtual festival that offered a variety of events–workshops & conversations, industry happy hours, as well as Shabbat dinners and community-produced events, and so much more–which took place over Zoom, Instagram, and Facebook. Recordings available here.

The Big Bold Jewish Climate Fest (2021 and 2022) was a collaboration with Dayenu and Hazon, along with hundreds of partnering organizations, to make climate action a central moral priority of the Jewish community. Anchored in the holiday of Tu BiShvat, the festivals brought together thousands of professional and volunteer leaders, combining theory, practice, and action to carry in our personal, professional, and volunteer lives throughout the year. Recordings available here.

HighHolyDays.org JCRIF (Jewish Communal Response and Impact Fund, a collaboration of several major foundations) supported a range of creative online programming for the High Holy Days during the pandemic. The producers struggled to market, and Jews at home did not know about the range of high quality offerings accessible online. We curated a simple and diverse list of offerings and implemented a robust paid and social media campaign (Facebook, Instagram and NPR) to invite community members to explore exciting and unique offerings from Rosh Hashanah through Sukkot. Based on the success of the 2020 campaign (and the ongoing pandemic), we rebooted the project in 2021 as well. Across the 2 cycles, the campaign reached nearly million people, with nearly 200,000 click throughs to content on HighHolyDays.org.
